Alive while standing still

Mondays here are for open questions. This one is the last thing standing between Camaïeu and the App Store: the app needs an icon, and I'm down to two.

Everything inside the app moves. The icon is the one place it can't. So the question is the one I left at the end of Friday's post: which one still reads as alive while standing still?

A, the cell. One of the app's cell compositions, frozen. Soft shapes nested inward from a dark field to a pale nucleus, in shades of a single blue, which makes it a camaïeu in the strict painterly sense.

B, the sea. The wave family, frozen. Bands running edge to edge, a dark sky at the top, light at the horizon, deepening all the way down. Less an object than a place.

Both are built in Icon Composer with every shape on its own layer, so they catch a little real depth and light on the home screen. That's the closest a still icon gets to breathing.
