Data collection

Camaïeu does not collect personal information. There is no account, no sign-up, and no login. Your favorites, settings, and breathing patterns are stored only on your device.

No backend

Every picture is generated and rendered entirely on your iPhone. Nothing you make is uploaded anywhere. Sharing a look as a short code happens through the system share sheet — the code is the picture, and no copy of it passes through any server of mine.

Purchases

The optional subscription is handled by Apple through the App Store, and managed in the app by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app-user identifier and your purchase receipt in order to verify your subscription and restore it on your other devices; it does not receive your name, email, or payment details, which stay with Apple. This processing is governed by RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.

Analytics

The app uses TelemetryDeck to send anonymous, aggregated product-interaction events — for example, "a picture was shuffled", "a focus session was started", or "a still was exported". These events contain no personal data, no advertising identifiers, and nothing that can be linked back to you. TelemetryDeck (operated by Apparata GmbH in Berlin, Germany — GDPR-friendly) does not set cookies, does not track across apps, and does not build user profiles.

Permissions

The app asks for one permission: adding images to your Photos library, requested only when you export a still or a video. It is add-only — the app cannot read, browse, or modify anything already in your library.

Network

The app works fully offline. The only network activity is the subscription verification and the anonymous analytics events described above.

Contact form

The contact form on this website is protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a real person and not an automated bot. To do this, Cloudflare may process technical data such as your IP address and browser information. This processing is governed by Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum. The details you enter in the form are used only to reply to your message.
